The furniture is a study of the direction that Atelier Blot strives for. A study of materials, contrasts and their composition with a special desire to unite the warm and refined with the raw and industrial.
The furniture is a first step in this study and stands as a manifesto of this. The study is characterized by a clear pragmatism and an honest idiom, with a sense of detail.
The frame is constructed from solid ash, the top is laser cut from a solid piece of 6 mm raw steel, treated with with a rust protection and sealed with a clear lacquer. The fittings are all M4 stainless steel from the maritime industry.
All wood are natural, recycled or as far as possible from FSC certified forestry.
